Prepmedians Privacy Policy

Last Modified: September 4, 2026

MyEdustream, LLC d/b/a Prepmedians (“Prepmedians”) knows that privacy is important, so we are providing this Privacy Policy to communicate our policies with respect to your information when you use our Platform located at Prepmedians.com (the “Platform”) or any service made available through the Platform (together with the Platform, the “Services”). Any defined terms used but not defined in this Privacy Policy are defined in the Terms of Use located at prepmedians.com/terms-and-conditions. By accessing the Platform or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform or Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Privacy Policy periodically for updates.

Information Collection and Use

Information You Give Us. While you may browse certain portions of the Platform without registration, certain Services may require you to create an account or provide Personal Information. When you purchase and use Test Prep Tools, sign up for email alerts or reminders, or subscribe to our newsletter or blog, you will provide certain Personal Information. We refer to information that can personally identify you, such as your name, address and email address as “Personal Information”. While you may browse the Platform without providing Personal Information, you may be required to provide certain Personal Information to allow us to provide the Services (including when you register for an account). We may use your Personal Information to provide the Services to you and to contact you to notify you of (a) new Services or products you may be interested in, (b) changes to the Services or products, or (c) third-party services or products that may be of interest to you. When you use the Test Prep Tools we will also collect information regarding your use of the Test Prep Tools, including, without limitation, your current SAT® and/or ACT® score, your goal SAT® and/or ACT® score, your responses to all Test Prep Tool questions, and the results of all section module attempts (referred to herein, collectively as Test Prep Information”). We use the Test Prep Information to produce reports for you that allow you to track your progress (“Test Prep Reports”). The Test Prep Reports are viewable on your account and show all information regarding your attempts to answer questions and your overall score. Except as specifically stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not disclose your Personal Information to third parties.

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of the Platform, or transmitted to other users of the Services or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted on the Platform and transmitted to others at your own risk. Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Services with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. Usage Information. We collect information about your visit that does not, on its own, name you. This includes statistical information about your Internet connection, the equipment that you use to access our Services, and how you use our Services (including how you conduct any searches for Test Prep Tools and a history of those searches). We refer to this information as “Usage Information”. This information allows us to optimize the Services to the Internet connections and equipment that are used to visit the Platform and to improve the Test Prep Tools. For instance, in order to make the Services better, we may collect information on: how long you use the Services; whether you have used the Services before and on how many occasions; how frequently you use the Services; and at which point you exit the Services. We collect this information directly from you when you provide it to us and automatically as you navigate through and interact with our Services. Information collected this way includes: (i) details of your visits to our Services, including traffic data, location data, logs, other communication data, and the resources that you access and use on the Platform; (ii) information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type and (iii) anonymized versions of your Test Prep Information. The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

  • Cookies (or browser cookies): Prepmedians and its authorized Service Providers may use cookies and other information gathering technologies for a variety of purposes. These technologies may provide us with Personal Information, information about devices and networks you utilize to access our Platform and the Services, and other information regarding your interactions with our Platform and the Services. For detailed information about the use of cookies on the Site and Platform, please read and review our Cookie Policy found prepmedians.com/cookie-policy.
  • Pixel Tags / Web Beacons: Pages of our Platform and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email. We may also use these web beacons for other related Platform statistics (e.g., recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).
  • Device identifiers: When you use a mobile device like a tablet or phone to access our Services, we may access, collect, monitor, store on your device, and/or remotely store one or more “device identifiers”. Device identifiers are small data files or similar data structures stored on or associated with your mobile device, which uniquely identify your mobile device. A device identifier may be data stored in connection with the device hardware, data stored in connection with the device’s operating system or other software, or data sent to the device by us.

AI Tutor and Voice Features

If you use the AI tutor, we collect the questions and reasoning you choose to submit, tutor responses, structured practice-answer selections, and resulting scores so that we can provide tutoring, measure progress, and improve the feature. New free-form tutor messages and responses are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Structured practice-answer selections and scores may be retained with your other Test Prep Information until you delete your account or ask us to delete them.

Microphone use is optional and requires an acknowledgement each time the page is opened. Speech recognition is performed by your browser or operating-system speech service and places a transcript in the message box for you to review before submitting. Prepmedians does not receive or store the raw microphone recording. Spoken tutor responses use your browser's speech service by default. If optional third-party text-to-speech is enabled, only tutor-generated response text—not microphone audio—is sent to that provider.

Social Media Comments and Messages

When you comment on or message our Facebook Page or Instagram account, we receive and store that comment or message, your public username or profile name, and the identifier the platform assigns you, together with our moderation decisions (for example whether a comment was hidden or replied to). We use this to answer questions, moderate spam and abusive content, and improve our replies.

Comment text may be sent to our AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) to classify it and to draft suggested replies. Direct messages are not sent to those providers. Where a message matches a keyword rule we have configured, a reply may be sent automatically without a person reviewing it first. Replies drafted for anything else are reviewed by a person before they are sent. We send it only to those providers' standard processing endpoints, we never submit it for model training, and we have opted out of model training at the account level with both providers. This text is not used to train third-party models.

We keep this information while your interaction remains relevant to support and moderation. Because the platform gives us only its own identifier for you, we cannot connect these messages to a Prepmedians account, so deleting your Prepmedians account does not remove them. To have them removed, use Facebook or Instagram's own data-deletion request, which sends us the platform's identifier for you directly, or email info@prepmedians.com with the username you used. Instagram sometimes gives us a comment without any account identifier attached; we cannot match those to you automatically, and usernames can be reassigned to other people, so we will not delete on a username alone. Email us and we will remove them by hand.

Third-party Service Providers

We may use third-party Service Providers in order to efficiently provide our Services to you. Service Providers perform tasks including, but not limited to, providing notification and newsletter services and credit card payment processing. We may use this information to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into (for instance, to collect any authorized fees). Information collected from these Service Providers is governed by their privacy policies. If you interact with a third party through the Services — for example by following a link to a social network — that third party may collect information about you under its own privacy policy. You should view the privacy policies of Service Providers before providing information to them.

Please note that we do not collect or process your credit or debit card details. These are however collected and processed by our payment processing service provider Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). The collection and processing by these providers of your credit or debit card details and other personal data are governed by their respective terms and conditions. See https://stripe.com/en-US/privacy for more information. Stripe may from time to time provide us with information regarding the credits and debits made to your card in order to enable us to reconcile our accounts.

AI service providers, including OpenAI, may process the curriculum context, questions, reasoning, and tutor responses needed to provide the AI tutor. If the optional enhanced spoken-response feature is enabled, ElevenLabs may process tutor-generated response text to produce audio; Prepmedians does not send raw microphone audio to ElevenLabs. Your browser or operating-system provider may process audio when you explicitly use browser speech recognition. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Advertising Measurement

For visitors whose country is confirmed as the United States, we may use Microsoft Advertising's Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag to measure whether our advertisements lead to sign-ups, cart activity, and purchases. UET may use advertising cookies or similar device identifiers. These browser-based events describe the order rather than the person: they may include an order reference, the purchase amount and currency, and which products were bought. We configure them without names, email addresses, postal addresses, payment-card numbers or other payment credentials, test-prep responses, or other account-content fields. UET is not enabled when a visitor's country is not confirmed as the United States. For more information about cookies and browser controls, see our Cookie Policy.

We also report completed purchases to Microsoft Advertising from our servers rather than from your browser. When an advertisement click brings someone to the Platform, Microsoft appends a click identifier to the web address, which we store. If that visit later results in a purchase, we send Microsoft the click identifier together with the purchase amount, currency, and time. This server-side report does not include names, email addresses, payment-card numbers or other payment credentials, test-prep responses, or other account-content fields. We delete stored click identifiers after 90 days from the click, and we delete them when an account is deleted.

Email-based advertising audiences. So that we do not pay to advertise to people who have already bought from us, we share the email address given at checkout with Microsoft Advertising as a “customer match” audience. Each address is converted into a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) before it leaves our systems, so we do not send Microsoft the address itself. A hash of this kind cannot practicably be turned back into the address by someone who does not already have it, but it is still a stable identifier for a particular person, and we treat it as Personal Information rather than as anonymous data. Microsoft compares these hashes against hashes of its own account holders and uses the matches to stop our advertisements from being shown to those people in the advertising campaigns where we have applied the audience — at present, a Microsoft search campaign rather than all of our advertising. Microsoft retains and handles this data under the Microsoft Advertising Agreement and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

The addresses we share for this purpose are the email addresses entered at checkout, which are typically a parent's or other paying adult's. We deliberately exclude from this audience any address that is also a student account log-in. We do not share test-prep responses, payment-card data, phone numbers, or postal addresses for this purpose, and we do not use these audiences to direct advertising at existing customers. Membership in the audience does not expire on a fixed schedule; we keep it in place for as long as we are using it to suppress advertising. If you ask us to remove your email address, we remove it from these audiences and record that request so that later updates to the audiences do not add you back. To have your email address removed from these advertising audiences, email us at info@prepmedians.com.

Other advertising measurement partners. We also use measurement tools from Google (Google Ads), Meta, TikTok, and OpenAI to understand which of our advertisements lead to sign-ups and purchases. Each loads a small script in your browser that reports events such as page views, sign-ups, checkout starts, and purchases, together with order details (amount, currency, products) and technical information such as IP address and browser type; for some events we also send a matching report from our servers. Where an event carries contact details to help the partner match it to an advertising click, those details are the parent or purchaser email address (and, for purchases, the billing name and address) given to us at sign-up or checkout — we do not use student account log-ins for these matching signals, and when we have no parent or purchaser contact the event is sent without any. Where contact details are sent they are hashed by the partner's tooling in the browser or by us before transmission. Each partner processes this data under its own privacy terms: Google, Meta, TikTok, and OpenAI (OpenAI's measurement pixel is separate from the AI-tutor model service described above).

Our Services do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal for Pinterest measurement as described in this section; you can also limit advertising cookies through your browser settings and the controls described in our Cookie Policy.

To measure and optimize Pinterest advertising directed to parents and other adults, Prepmedians may automatically share limited, pseudonymous checkout-start and completed-purchase metadata with Pinterest, a third party, for online behavioral advertising measurement when the integration is enabled. Prepmedians may temporarily retain a keyed checkout event for up to 48 hours and a retry pointer for the current browser-tab session. Pinterest runs only in an isolated conversion frame, not the main Prepmedians page, and is configured not to create first-party Pinterest cookies or local storage. This integration does not use Pinterest enhanced matching and does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing addresses, test answers, payment-card data, internal user identifiers, or promoted-click identifiers. We do not activate Pinterest measurement when a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

Sharing Information

We may disclose aggregated or de-identified information about our users. Usage Information does not, by itself, identify you. We do not disclose your Personal Information except in the circumstances described here:

  • Your Consent: We may share or disclose your Personal Information, at your direction, in connection with your use of the Services.
  • Service Providers: We may share your Personal Information with or disclose it to contractors, Service Providers, and other third parties we use to support our business, all of whom are contractually restricted in how they may use it. Advertising and measurement partners are separately described in the Advertising Measurement section of this policy
  • Business Transfers: In the event that Prepmedians is involved in a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, your Personal Information held by us may be among the assets transferred.
  • Law and Harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy, we may disclose or share your Personal Information in order to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prepmedians, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
  • Enforcement: We may disclose your Personal Information in order to enforce or apply our Terms and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
  • Disclosed when Collected: For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

  • Tracking Technologies: You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that many parts of the Platform and Services may then be inaccessible or will not function properly.
  • Pinterest Ad Measurement: You can use Global Privacy Control, browser privacy controls, Pinterest's personalization settings, and AdChoices to limit advertising measurement and personalization.
  • Email Communications: If you do not wish to have your email address used by Prepmedians to promote our own Services, products, or third parties’ services and products, you may opt out of receiving these messages by following the “unsubscribe” link contained within the promotional messages.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You may use the account export and deletion controls available in your account or send us an email at info@prepmedians.com to request access to, correct, or delete Personal Information that you have provided to us. An account export includes retained AI tutor messages and their scheduled deletion dates. Account deletion removes AI tutor conversations, messages, practice records, and outcome records with the rest of the account data. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section §1798.83 permits users that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to info@prepmedians.com.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Platform. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Platform.

Children Under Age 13

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any Personal Information on the Platform or through the Services. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on the Services. If we learn we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at info@prepmedians.com.
